Jan. 31- Feb. 2 NHRA Chief Auto Parts Winternationals - Pomona, CA. First race with screw type supercharger. Did not qualify.
April 11-13 NHRA Division 6 – Boise, ID. Qualified #2. Lost in semi-finals.
May 2-4 NHRA Division 6 – Mission, BC. Qualified #8. Race was rained out, unable to return to make up date.
May 17-18 Match Race – Woodburn, OR. Randy won event over John Hyland in the first side by side 5 second final at the Woodburn Dragstrip.
June 6-8 NHRA Division 6 – Seattle, WA. Qualified #6. Race was rained out, unable to return to make up date.
July 11-13 NHRA Division 6 – Woodburn, OR. Did not qualify.
Aug. 1-3 NHRA Prolong Super Lubricants Northwest Nationals - Seattle, WA. Qualified #5 with career best 5.86 ET. Lost in round 2.
Sept. 12-14 NHRA Division 6 - Yakima, WA. Qualified #3. Runner-up, set new track record of 5.861 ET.
Sept. 20-21 Match Race – Woodburn, OR. Randy finished year with runner-up.
